Muchos nos habíais preguntado sobre dónde se podría hacer un taller de cerámica y es por eso que nos hemos puesto en contacto con Alzina Cerámica (@alzina_ceramica en Instagram). 

Ella nos ofreció a realizar una masterclass completa (inglés y español) en su taller ubicado en Almodóvar del Río, lo cual incluiría todo lo siguiente:

Durante el día de la masterclass:

  • Transporte ida y vuelta 🚗
  • Teoría de la cerámica (origen, composición, propiedades y diferencias con otros materiales empleados en la artesanía tradicional) 👩‍🏫
  • Demostración de piezas de cerámica 🏺
  • Manos a la obra, realizad vuestra propia pieza de cerámica con la ayuda de Alzina 🫱🫲
  • Una vez que tengáis hecha la forma de la pieza, podréis decorarla con el uso de engobes y pintura 🧑‍🎨. (Ejemplos resultantes al final de la publicación 👇)
  • Fin de la pieza, nos aseamos. 🚰
  • Satisfechos de nuestro trabajo, hacemos un teambuilding tomando un aperitivo con algo de beber 🍹
  • Vuelta a casa 🚘

Post-masterclass:
Durante la teoría, Alzina os habrá explicado todo el proceso de la elaboración de una pieza de cerámica. Esto requiere de un trabajo de varios días el cual se encargará Alzina de realizar días posteriores a la masterclass:
 
Para ello realizará primero un horneado de bizcocho a vuestras piezas resultantes para el endurecimiento de la pieza (esto requiere de unas cuantas horas controlando la temperatura de la cocción).
 
Una vez realizado el primer horneado, se encargará de aplicar un esmalte transparente para embellecer y realzar los colores de vuestra pieza.
 
Ya esmaltadas, realizará otro horneado para el acabado final de la pieza y hacer que ésta sea apta para el uso cotidiano.
 
Finalmente, Alzina empaquetará vuestras piezas y las llevará a la oficina de ESN Córdoba para que podáis recogerlas ya totalmente acabadas 😀
 
Este trabajo puede demorarse entre 3-4 semanas, por lo que os pedimos a los que os apuntéis que seáis conscientes de que vuestra pieza final podrá ser recogida a partir del 16 de Mayo en la oficina de ESN Córdoba (avisaremos por el grupo de WhatsApp).

🎨ELEMENTOS NECESARIOS PARA EL TALLER:

  • Una toalla o trapo para limpiarse las manos
  • Ropa que se pueda ensuciar o un delantal 
  • Muchas ganas de pasárselo bien y aprender 😊

Many of you had asked us about where we could do a ceramics workshop and that’s why we got in touch with Alzina Cerámica (@alzina_ceramica on Instagram).

She offered us to do a complete masterclass (English and Spanish) in her workshop located in Almodóvar del Río, which would include all of the following:

During the day of the masterclass:

  • Round trip transportation 🚗.
  • Ceramic theory (origin, composition, properties and differences with other materials used in traditional crafts) 👩‍🏫
  • Demonstration of ceramic pieces 🏺
  • Let’s get down to work, make your own ceramic piece with the help of Alzina 🫱🫲
  • Once you have made the shape of the piece, you can decorate it with the use of ceramic engobes and paint 🧑‍🎨.(Examples at the end of the publication 👇)
  • End of the piece, we clean ourselves up. 🚰
  • Satisfied with our work, we do some teambuilding with a drink and a snack 🍹
  • Back home 🚘
  • Post-masterclass work done by Alzina 💯

Post-masterclass:

During the theory, Alzina will have explained to you the whole process of making a ceramic piece. This requires several days of work, which Alzina will take care of the days after the masterclass:

To do this, she will first bake your resulting pieces to harden the piece (this requires a few hours controlling the temperature of the firing).

Once the first baking is done, she will apply a transparent glaze to embellish and enhance the colours of your piece.

Once enamelled, another firing will be carried out to finish the piece and make it suitable for everyday use.

Finally, Alzina will pack your pieces and take them to the ESN Cordoba office so that you can pick them up once they are completely finished 😀.

This work can take between 3-4 weeks, so we ask those of you who sign up to be aware that your final piece can be collected from the 16th of May at the ESN Cordoba office (we will notify you via the WhatsApp group).

🎨ELEMENTS NEEDED FOR THE WORKSHOP:

  • A towel or cloth to wipe your hands.
  • Clothes that can get dirty or an apron.
  • A lot of desire to have fun and learn 😊
