Libraries Guide - Córdoba

Since not all of your Erasmus is going to be about travel and partying (that’s what they say,
anyway), the city has a bunch of libraries available where you can keep up with your courses or
cram all day right before the deadline (guilty as charged).


So, if you need a quiet place to study, read your favorite book, or finish that super-student
project, you have the following spaces at your disposal to focus your mind and soul:

Grupo Cántico - Biblioteca Provincial de Córdoba

This library, inaugurated in 2024, provides the perfect blend of study and connection with
nature. With its large glass walls, it offers views of the Jardines de la Agricultura –
colloquially known as Parque de los Patos (Ducks Park) – while also being very close to the
city center, the train station, and the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood.

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Facultad de Ciencias del Trabajo

The Faculty of Labor Sciences offers a more private space with reclining desks to facilitate
studying. Its location near the Plaza de Colón and the city wall allows for connection with
other places of interest.

Facultad de Filosofía y Letras

Located in the heart of Córdoba’s historic center, this library is housed in a beautiful, historic
building. Its prime location just one minute from the Mezquita allows you to go out and eat a
piece of tortilla while strolling through the Patio de los Naranjos after an intense study
session.

Biblioteca Maimónides (Campus de Rabanales)

As one of the main libraries on the Rabanales Campus, it is a vital academic hub. It offers an
extensive collection of books and specialized materials for various faculties, including
Veterinary Science, making it a central point for students in the scientific fields.

Biblioteca Corredera (Centro cívico Centro)

This small but charming library is located in the Plaza de la Corredera, one of the city's most
emblematic squares. It offers a cozy and traditional atmosphere for reading and community
activities.

  • Monday to Friday: 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm

  • Wednesdays also in the morning: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Biblioteca Central

Located near the historic city wall, this library is a spacious and modern facility. It’s an
excellent choice for those who need a dedicated space for work, as it offers both a library for
borrowing books and a study room for quiet concentration.

These faculties offer large study halls where students who want to get a little bit away from
the city can concentrate during peak study periods, as well as libraries with access to a large
amount of study material in health sciences.
