How to Enter the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba for Free

Hello! 😊 If you’re coming to Córdoba excited to see the famous Mosque but want to save a bit of money, here’s everything you need to know explained in a simple and easy way.
Option 1: R̶u̶n̶ ̶f̶a̶s̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶e̶c̶u̶r̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶g̶u̶a̶r̶d̶
Leaving this joke aside, let’s go with the official guide 🤓
There is a FREE Morning Schedule!!!
The Mosque-Cathedral offers a free visiting slot from Monday to Saturday, 08:30–09:30 (during this time, organized groups are not allowed).
- What are the conditions of the free visit?
It’s only for individual visits (no tourist or school groups allowed). - On days with religious celebrations or other events, the free schedule may be suspended. Always check before you go if there is a mass or special event.
Tips and Practical Advice to Make the Most of It
- Be punctual: the free slot is short. If you enter at 08:45, you’ll have very little time. Note that, for organization reasons, at around 09:20 they may begin clearing the building for the official opening.
- Go alone or with one friend if you want to get in for free; large groups are not allowed.
- Light & photos: early in the morning there may be less natural light inside, and sometimes cleaning tasks are carried out, so you might not enjoy it in its full splendor.
Plan B
If the free schedule doesn’t work for you or you want to spend more time inside… there are good news for you: there’s a reduced price for students!
If you’re a student between 15 and 26 years old, you can get a discount. It doesn’t matter if you’re from the University of Córdoba (UCO) or from another country: what matters is having a valid student card (the UCO card or an ISIC – International Student Identity Card – both work).
How much does it cost with the discount?
General admission: 13 €
Student ticket: 10 €
👉 You save 3 €, which is always perfect for a coffee with churros after the visit ☕.
What do you need to bring?
- Your student card (UCO card or from your home university).
- An ID document (DNI, NIE, or passport) in case they ask to verify your age or identity.
